It is not a joke. Brazil is part of the XXI Winter Olympics in Vancouver.



Historically they have never won any medals in the competition. So far, a total lack of medals is a fact for the Brazilian team.

Brazil first took part in the Winter Olympics in 1992.

The delegation has five athletes in Vancouver 2010: Isabel Clark, Jaqueline Mourão, Jhonathan Longhi, Leandro Ribela and Maya Harrisson. Mourão and Ribela are competing in cross-country skiing, while Longhi and Harrisson are competing

If you ask any Brazilian in his 30s, ‘who is the greatest Brazilian hero?’ the answer will automatically be Ayrton Senna, with the follow-up nickname ‘do Brasil’ (from Brazil).
